New and improved Profit and Loss Report – 6/10/2011

This one has been a long time coming, but we’ve updated the profit and loss (P&L) report to show income and expense by category, as you can see below.

Not only can you see a proper P&L by month now, you can also choose to see it by day, week, month, quarter or year. Click on any amount to see the transactions within that category for that time period. Or click on the income or expense subtotals to see income by customer or a spending chart for that period.

Note: To avoid having the page scroll horizontally, we’ve limited how many periods you can view at once. For a daily report, you can look at 7 days. For weekly and monthly reports, we’ll show you the last 6 periods. For quarterly and yearly, you'll see the last 4. To go back farther in time, simply choose an older “Ending:” date.

We’ve also added a little shortcut to get to your P&L. In addition to clicking on the Reports tab, you  also can simply click on your total profit or loss at the top of your Outright screen – see below:

As always, please let us know what you think.
