What to do when your bank or credit card isn’t supported by GoDaddy Bookkeeping?

At GoDaddy Bookkeeping, we are all about making it simple for you to integrate your bank, credit union or credit card issuer with your GoDaddy Bookkeeping account. Of course, there are a large amount of these financial institutions in the world, and while GoDaddy Bookkeeping integrates with over 3,000 of them, we don’t have them all automatically integrated yet.

For starters, when you search the bank list (found from the "Linked Accounts" menu on the drop down on the top right of the application next to your company name), try searching just one word of the financial institution, to increase the likelihood that we find it.

If it's not on the list, not to worry there's still another option:  There is a way to import your financial info into GoDaddy Bookkeeping without typing your fingers down to nubs with tedious hours of data entry.  You can download your transactions directly from your bank into a QFX or CSV file that can be imported into your Bookkeeping plan.  CSV files take some additional formatting that you'll need to do before you can upload the file, you can read about the formatting requirements HERE.

  1. Login to your financial institution online and search for key phrases such as “export” or “download.” This will allow you to download your data into a .csv or .qfx file.
  2. Go to either your “Income” or “Expense” tab in GoDaddy Bookkeeping and select the “Import” button at the bottom of the page.

  1. Browse for the saved file on your computer and click on the Upload button.
  2.  If you'd like to associate these transactions with an existing account, you can select that account from the drop-down. If these transactions are not associated with your current linked accounts, select 'Create new account'.
  3. We'll email you when we're done uploading the file with a status update.

  1. Click on the 'Upload a spreadsheet instead of a QFX' link at the bottom of the page.
  2. Select either Expenses or Income depending on which type of transactions you are uploading.
  3. Click on the Choose File button to browse for the saved file on your computer and then click on the Upload button.
  4. We'll email you when we're done uploading the file with a status update.

That should get your financial information imported into GoDaddy Bookkeeping.
