GoDaddy Bookkeeping is an online bookkeeping tool that helps "the smallest of the small" business owners -- sole proprietors and single-person LLCs -- maximize their business deductions for the Schedule C.
GoDaddy Bookkeeping can help other types of businesses, but it's not quite a perfect fit. For example, we don't provide the business-specific tax forms that partnerships, C-Corps or S-Corps require (Schedule K-1 for partnerships, or the 1120 for S-Corps). Nor do we produce advanced financial statements that "the smallest of the small" business don't tend to use. None of this means that won't grow to support other kinds of business in the future, but first want to make our core product as flawless as possible! We had to start somewhere, so we started with the small.
Benefits of GoDaddy Bookkeeping:
The main benefit of GoDaddy Bookkeeping is that you can link multiple banks, credit cards, and credit unions (we support automatic import for over 4,000 institutions!), as well as a variety of eCommerce accounts (such as eBay, PayPal, Etsy, Amazon, Harvest, Shoeboxed and Freshbooks) to view all of your business transactions in one consolidated place. In other words, if you have 4 credit cards, a PayPal account, and a main bank account for your business needs, your bookkeeping account pulls the data from all 6 institutions, does the math, and produces one number as an overall metric for how well you're doing.
When importing the data into GoDaddy Bookkeeping, we’ll take our best guess at categorizing your transactions; we’re actually pretty good at it! But on the off chance we get it wrong, or we don’t know what to guess, you’ll be able to edit any transaction you like to make sure it’s categorized correctly. Any edit you make can be memorized so the longer you use your bookkeeping account the less manual work is required.
After сatеgorіzіng уоur dаta, GoDaddy Bookkeeping gеnerates reports to show where your business stands. These reports can be broken down by day, week, month or year, and will show you information such as: "Profit & Loss", "Your Spending", "Best Customers", "Biggest Vendors," and "Sales by State"
