Square Integration

We know that linking your account to GoDaddy Bookkeeping and automagically importing your transactions makes running your business quicker and easier.  And we'd love to be able to link to every possible source of information, we're just not able to do so... yet.

We've heard that you'd like to link your Square account to GoDaddy Bookkeeping and we'd really like to make that happen.  We have a few kinks to work out with Square however before that will become reality.  We're working with them on their API, figuring out the best way to handle this sensitive information and hope to have a solution in the not too distant future.  For now, however, due to a request from Square, we will not be able to import Square transactions into GoDaddy Bookkeeping.   We'll do our best to make it up to you with our great product and by providing excellent service.

Here are the answers to some questions that you may have:

How can I get my Square data into GoDaddy Bookkeeping after the importing is turned off?
Short story -  you will need to return to your original method.
1. If you haven't done so already, link the bank account into which your Square transactions are deposited to your GoDaddy Bookkeeping account.
2. Categorize transactions coming in from Square as "Sales" or perhaps "Sales - Square".
Note: Only the net income will show in GoDaddy Bookkeeping, you won't see all the details of the Square transactions.

What will happen to the Square transactions that have already been imported?
Don't worry - They will remain in GoDaddy Bookkeeping even after we turn off the import.

I'm unhappy that you are turning this off - where can I provide feedback?
We would be happy to answer any questions you may have.  If you'd like to ask Square to support the integration, you have a few options to contact Square: You can send them an e-mail or Tweet them @square.

Thanks again for being a GoDaddy Bookkeeping customer. We love helping our small business customers like you track how they are doing and prepare for taxes.  We apologize for any inconvenience this change causes you and hope that you will reach out to us if we can do anything to help.
