New look on Income and Expenses Tabs - 12/28/2011

UPDATE 12/28/2011:  All accounts created prior to 12/28/2011 should no longer be seeing the new version of the Income/Expenses tabs.  (A few folks who created their accounts today (12/28) will continue to see/use the new version.)  We'll keep working on it and let you know when we have another version for you to look at.  Thanks again for your input - stay tuned for round 2!

Are you wondering about the new look for your income and expenses tabs within Outright?  A small group of our customers have gotten a sneak peek at a new version of our Income and Expenses tabs today.  The new tabs are a work in progress and were presented to you a bit earlier than originally planned... but we'd love to get your initial impressions.  What do you like?  What would you like to see done differently?  (And yes, we already know we need to add the ability to delete transactions!)

Your Income and Expenses tabs will be reverting back to the old version soon.   We will then roll out the new version to everyone once it's ready for prime time. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.   We hope you like our new design!

Just logged in and saw I got the new look for the income/expenses tabs. So far I am liking what I see. It's easy to read. I am loving the amount totals at the top and bottom of the screen. Will we be able to edit the "payee" information and separated the customers and vendors? Other than that, i think the new look will be a bit hit.

Thanks for the comments folks - they're really helpful as we move forward with this exciting new feature.

@ArtDeal - yes, you should be able to edit payees (just like you can now), but I'm not sure what you're asking related to Customers and Vendors.  If you're asking about only seeing Customers on the Payee dropdown list when on the Income tab (and likewise with Vendors/Expenses) then yes - it's on the plan.

@w.ink - I'm a slow-adopter of change myself so I totally understand the need to 'live with it a bit'!  Let us know if you see anything that raises questions.

Hi, I have not seen the new look but I'm a bit flustered and need some help to delete a double entry of a few months worth of profit and loss before tax time.

Can someone help me? I will need a quick walk through on deleting them.

    Thank you,

    Janet

Feel free to add me to the list of testers for the new look. I'll give you feedback! (I'm a professional Web / software user experience designer, so I'm not your average user... I'd be happy to give you my thoughts as a user and as an interface designer.)
